SYNOPSIS:

Louisiana Red's life plays just like the blues, with his guitar as the one constant in his life. After his father's murder by the Ku Klux Klan and the early death of his mother, he spends his childhood in orphanages. Next he tries to find a home in the US Army – and lands in the middle of the Korean War. Later he serves in Germany and ends up stuck in Hannover. Since then the 71-year old musician has been on a never-ending tour, playing gigs all over Europe, convinced that his break-through is just round the bend. The film accompanies the musician through towns in Germany and on the road in the US, where he meets his adult son he hasn’t seen in years.
